Brake Light again
Hi Guys,

My brake warning light came on this morning on the way to work.

I stopped where I could and had a nose around underneath and none of the lines are damp or showing any signs of leaks and it stops in a straight line very well.

I suspect the Cap is at fault however it is due for MOT and Service next week where the brake fluid should all be changed.

I don't want it to fail on a brake warning light just coming on for no reason so other than the cap what else could it be? Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197

I've had it on a couple of motors, one when I touched the wire and it just came off the connector on the cap had corroded away and the other time it was the wires corroded. I ended up cutting back to good wore and soldering a new length on. Also topped it right up at the same time

Think Ii have solved it,

One of the spade connectors had disintegrated and the float looks a bit suspect. Will change connector and give the float a clean along with some new fluid so hopefully will solve it
