Wales 2007 Defender 90 Other CSW Trident Green
cruellest way to treat a dog I hope they jail the b*st*rd
Martin Doyle, of Marine Road, Pensarn, was caught on CCTV neglecting his black and white Bull Terrier
the man tied his dog’s mouth shut, taunted it with food bowls and drenched it with dirty water is being sought by police after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

The dog would be unable to pant so it would quickly overheat

An RSPCA spokeswoman said: “It is clear that this dog has been subjected to regular periods of torment from its owner as the dog sits as still as possible to avoid being punished.

This is why we need to bring the dog licence back. As a start. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Perhaps a month in the hands of an SAS interrogation squad. A few sessions of water boarding will soon convince him that pouring water over his poor dog was not a good idea. Defender 90XS SW

I wonder what drives someone to do that. So sad.

Was it a staffie? If so they can be some of the loveliest (if slightly daft) dogs going.

Not sure how they got the camera footage, if it was the police then they wouldn't release it and if it was private then wouldn't that be a breach of somethingorother?

As previously said, please can we bring back dog licences. It won't stop every unsuitable owner, but if it stops even just one it must be worth it.

Sorry guys but dog abuse took place even when licences were still in effect. Besides, even though the old license cost peanuts people still didn't bother to licence their animals. These days I doubt the authorities have the spare resources or motivation to actively police a licensing system, not to mention that very soon all dogs are supposed to be microchipped so theoretically owners should be traceable ....but doubtless there will be those who won't bother.

Sadly sick in the head b@stards will still exist and continue to bully animals regardless of a licensing or chipping system. Steve.

A person called Andrew Frankish of Redcar on the 24th March received 21 weeks - suspended for two years - plus wearing a tag and a curfew for throwing a passive bulldog bitch head first down the stairs REPEATEDLY.

I haven't linked the video because it's distressing and unnecessary.

I've put his name up because they have been convicted. If this causes a problem Martin, do please edit. In no way do I condone pitchfork and torch brand retribution by the internet. But if you happen to pass and can throw dog s**t in his face I will buy you a pint.

Do we think that punishment is enough? I don't. But then what would work? Is the internet the 21st Century equivalent of the stocks or will it not register on them? New project and it's green: www.projectoverland.info

Projectblue. I haven't watch the video due to the fact that seasoned RSPCA inspectors have said it is the most barbaric animal abuse they have seen. I have however read the articles in the press and my view is that the sentence should not have been suspended - they both should have received custodial sentences. Defender 90XS SW

I dont know how anyone can do this to an animal, its nasty bullying, just wrong...i think a taste of his own medicine rather than a fine or few weeks in jail would be far better

Do i think dog licencing or compulsory micro-chipping is right or a solution - absolutely not, we dont need state control or more oppression of our freedoms - this wont bring any sort of prevention it wont even cure anything, it just erodes all our rights. Plus the police and LA's have all the powers they need to combat this...unless you are in favour of putting RFID style chips in kids and receivers all over the country so they know where you are...in which case crack on. Mike
