Tdci puma Aircon Evaporator
Hello,
Appreciate if someone could tell me the part number just for the evaporator (Chiller) for RHD defender puma tdci for my aircondition. If anybody know where i can buy just the evaporator, that would be great! . The microcat says the heater - RHD manual aircondition as a whole unit and the part number is LR031513. Cheers Very Happy Very Happy

Regards,
Diluk

I guess LR don't sell the aircon evaporator as a separate unit hence they sell it as a whole set including the plastic casing which will cost you a lot (may be it's cheap pls check) . Best thing to do would be to find out a second hand set or look for a possible alternative evaporator of any other make which could squeeze in to you existing unit. Appreciate if anybody can further elaborate this.

Hello! I'm concluding that the market parts and Land Rover do not sell this evaporator alone. I do not understand why, I found evaporators other Land Rover models for sale. Thank you, Dilukabey.

I recently replaced mine with another brand and had to cut inlet and outlet pipes and modified to suit the defender casing.

Unfortunately, Land Rover and any other aftermarket vendors do not sell the coil alone for some reason and you will have to get the entire plastic box.

If you know shops who can make coils, you could provide yours as a sample and have one made but make sure it is laminated for longevity. Much cheaper than buying original and you get the same performance. This is the route I took and am happy with the results. I even had the coil slightly enlarged to help deal with the hot weather and humidity we have where I am at the moment.

I hope this helps.

Incidentally, is there really a difference in the coil from a RHD unit and a LHD unit?
