If the fault stays on the drivers side when you swop the indicators from one side to the other then it is unlikely to be a fault in the LED repeaters.
The repeaters do not have a flasher unit in them. They will work with the original flasher unit IF you have the original filament bulbs in. The change in resistance by changing just the side repeaters is not enough to upset the original flasher unit. If you have changed the original indicators to LED then you would need to change the flasher unit, again the side repeaters should not effect things if you have changed the relay. It would seem that there is an issue with your vehicle wiring, but what? I have asked Peter to have a look at this thread. What are your front and rear indicators? LED or original filament? If LED I would suggest you swop them over as well and see if the problem stays on drivers side or swops over as well. Sorry I can not be more helpful at this moment in time. Brendan |

LED's tend to be more sensitive to voltage fluctuation and earthing issues.
I'd check voltage on both sides and earth continuity, proceed from there then. |

Thanks for the reply Brendan. All my other lights are filiment. These are all working perfectly even the filiment side repeaters.
The fault only occurs when fitting the LED repeaters and the fault occurs to the drivers side. |

Just to be clear ALL three indicators on the drivers side flash fast when you put a LED side repeater in?
If that is the case I would wonder if you need to change the flasher relay? The only thing which confuses me is why the nearside does not do the same. Slightly higher resistance through the earth contacts on the near side maybe? Brendan |

Correct Brendan, we checked and all 3 of the drivers side indicators flash at the faster speed when the LED repeater is fitted.

hmmhm, that's crazy!
The LED side repeaters have about the same resistance as the filament ones. This usually provides enough resistance that the standard flasher relay stays in the "everything upright mode" As your problem only occures on one side i tend to say that your relay is kind of faulty. Do you have the chance to change it to a different one? Either a normal one from a different Puma or an adjustable LED one. Peter WANTED: SII or SIII in max 1.5k |

Hi Peter, i dont have a replacement relay to hand. I will have to purchase a new relay to possibly fix the issue.
Would you reccomend a new replacement relay or a wipsc 12v adjustable flasher relay? Thanks |

R500,
If you want to pm me your address I think we have some adjustable ones on our shelves which I could stick in the post and you can try it out this weekend to see if it solves your problem. If it doesn't send it back, if it does we will sort something out. Brendan |

Thanks for sending the relay over Brendan . Fitted the relay and the drivers LED repeater flashes as normal but the passenger LED does not flash at all now .
I have reverted back to the standard relay and filament repeaters and this is working fine. Soo confused.. |

Something is very odd here.
Is this a new vehicle? Or owned by you from new? Daft as it might sound do you have towing electrics? If so is that socket all clean and sound or full of mud and corroded to hell? Brendan |

I know its strange. The vehicle is a 2008. Yes i have towing electrics, i checked the socket last week and sprayed Wd40 in to clean it up as it looked to have sand mud around etc. Maybe a thorough clean might be needed.
Its strange as the standard filament lights work as they should. |
