No rusty water here, but I really can't remember how many times I had to take my car back to get a leak fixed. Ended in a very unpleasant discussion when the mechanic told me 'they all do that sir'. Fact is... From the last time they tried to fix it, my car turned into a driving waterfall, with rain water gushing down from behind the the dash. Don't even dare to look at my speakers now. After almost three years they decided the roof needs to be lifted and the dashboard taken out. Will be without the car for a week. Bet they won't give me car I can use for my dogs... Rolling Eyes
Actually lost all faith and probably will taking the car apart myself when warranty runs out. Just to be able to look for rust.

Mine went back 4 times before I gave up with them, however didn't look as bad as this.

I put tissue down the back of the dash and door sills at every point I thought water could come through in order to trace it.

If you remove the speaker then you get all the access you need under there.

Eventually found it to be the windscreen bulkhead gasket.

I have carefully coated mine in Sikaflex and now leak free Smile

May be worth doing the same and then either fix yourself or get them to fix the exact issue.

I'm almost positive it's the windscreen gasket as that's what they 'sealed' to make it leak like hell (don't ask me how that's even possible). Confused
Anyways, will be taking out a speaker this weekend and spray some water onto the car.

Take the speaker out and also the small air vent in the side of the dash.

Look inside below the windscreen and behind the dash, there is some guttering that stops short of about 1 - 2 inches either side behind the tweeter speaker.

Then lookup up inside and get your hand behind that vent and you will find that small clearing at the end.

The water will make its way there.

Lying flat on the bulk head up there is sound deadening, get to the top and pull it down and feel if there is any water there.

Start with tissue up there, on the 3 d built brackets, door catch etc.

I found I could never replicate the water coming in - I rigged up a hose with sprinkler on a ladder for about 40 minutes and not a drop come through. Then rained for an hour and it was coming through easily!

You are looking behind this and when raining may even see the water running in -

Get some Captain Trollys creeping crack cure. Run it along the seal on the bulkhead. Problem will go. I had same problem.
Get it off amazon.

+1 for this solution. Applied it last weekend, it rained last night, but my footwell was dry this morning - thanks for the tip.
