Ditto. Might be a duff radio, but also check the ariel connection into the back. I had one that was not connected properly.

My radio reception is excellent without the keys in, but when i turn on the ignition the ECU interferes with the reception (same with engine running). The reception goes bad and picks up electronic beeping, especially when using the accelerator. I'll have it looked at when it's serviced. Bloody annoying but the CD is fine. 130 crew cab

Well it would be. Whats happening is the interference comes to the radio through the electrical system (earth and live) - not know where it is...what you do need is a surpressor (readily avaliable) what screens the + feed to the stereo; thus removing noise. Mike |

I have a supressor but am unsure how to fit it. Nobody else seems to have a problem with this interferance so i'll leave it until it's first service, anyway i'm thinking of putting in a better system. I find it hard to press the right buttons without looking at the radio. On the single track roads i drive its dangerous.
Thank's for the suggestion. 130 crew cab 98 V8 Disco |
