Tig, as you can see from my very first post a KTM was my fallback plan but they are so nimble and quick I think my licence may have taken a battering perhaps? Mine arrives this morning.

Nice one Mal...
I am guessing you may not be going out on it right away though... But that shouldn't stop the red carpet photo shoot... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al[/color] |

Not really mal. Not that type of bike. Big old torquey v twin that happens to rev to 10,500 rpm. Happy lugging along at 4 though. Each to there own, if your happy then I'm happy. Two wheels is great for the soul. I've ridden a few HD. A good friend of mine is an ex outlaw and has a few quick, if there is such a thing Harley's. A night train? All black bobber thing and a Electra glide that's bagged i think. I've got a thing for twins so I got a Norton commando that I'm doing.

I hit the big Five Oh (not the cops) in January. As I'm too scared to ride a bike, I bought one of these instead

They do a green one. I was thinking about doing a Bullitt type recreation, but it just didn't look right in dark green.
Oh, and I really wasn't sold on one until I saw it in the flesh (metal). I haven't found one photo that does the car justice yet. I think it's something to do with the body lines. New project and it's green: www.projectoverland.info |

Just cannot believe my luck with the unseasonal weather we've been having. Was out just yesterday with just a t-shirt under the leather jacket. Had a great few opportunities to scratch about locally and get used to the new toy. Red furry rug photo-shoot not in the offing I'm afraid. Has a tendency to set off car alarms riding past cars on quieter residential streets though! Great fun. Better photo. Thanks Ken. Hope to God Santa brings you your new watch!
BossHog yours too is a thing of beauty, bet it takes some maintenance to keep it so shiny? Do you lay it up Winter? Saw a couple of old 'Shovelheads' today at the dealers Xmas bash. Must be said and it's probably age-related but I have never felt quite as much 'at home' or comfortable on any other bike as I feel on the Harley. Very little effort involved in riding it which is a good thing three months after a severe prolapsed disk. Probably due to very low c of g and riding position? My brother has just got same car in the same colour but try as I could he went for the ecoboost engine. It does have a lovely road presence. Any issues with yours? He's noticed 1st to 2nd is very notchy, one of the mirrors seems to be off a left hand drive ad the insulation/heat wrap in the engine bay keeps coming unstuck. |
