i've noticed a problem as the nights are getting darker its been getting worse and really bugging me now...
while driving the lights flicker for about 5 seconds at random times such as when i come off the gas or when I'm stationary, the headlights flicker, it can be quite embarrassing if your behind someone and it starts flickering looking like your flashing them or when you come to a junction and it starts doing it... i wouldn't say I've got a massive strain on the electrical system, theres a 1000w amp / sub combo and thats it over a standard car... even with the radio turned off; it will still do this edit: also have a drl bumper... LED so no great drain? Battery is coming up to 5 now but isn't showing any signs of age, starts the car first time even this morning in the colder weather we are having.. (the battery has lead a really easy life, i only drive the car 6 months the year and the other 6 its on a ctek) |

That sound annoying. I have just fitted a set of JW Speaker headlamps, so Iīm interested to know what the problem is.
If it is getting worse, then something is changing or deteriorating. What generation are the headlamps? Evo 2īs. Bad electrical connection somewhere in the wiring? The famous LR light switch about to let go? Maybe it is the battery? If you do not have the upgraded loom, so running the full juice via the standard wiring and light switch, possibly your battery is not good enough anymore to supply the required minimum voltage to the lamps. Before I installed the "Landreiziger" loom, I had flickering EVOs sometimes when engine was not running, so juice from battery without alternator working.
The Speakers will flicker if they get less than 12V. Eric You never actually own a Defender. Probably worth doing. Just want to mention that there have been several comments on here about issues with installing that boomslang loom, which never heard about the dutch landreiziger loom.

Here you go.
With plastic connectors (the original item) https://shop.landreiziger.nl/lichtversterk...elais.html With ceramic connectors (this alternative was launched a bit later) https://shop.landreiziger.nl/modificatie/m...toren.html with detachable H4 connectors or Duplo connectors (this is a new version which I did not see before) https://shop.landreiziger.nl/modificatie/m...toren.html And then this one, same as the original, but with an added Defender light switch for those who want to replace that too) https://shop.landreiziger.nl/modificatie/m...elaar.html I guess if you only need the loom and no switch, go for the ceramic connector version as it is same price as the original version. Landreiziger loom is better. There have been numerous inherent issues with the Red Bison Boomslang ones. ![]() http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic26097....light+loom If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! I'm sure there must be a few people who fancy a loom from Landreiziger, me included. Is there a way of getting some kind of group buy, it's mainly the idea of trying to work my way round a website that's not in English that's putting me off. Failing that, does anyone know if an email in English to them would get the desired reply?

They are a very kind and helpful bunch there. And,.... I don't think that I know one single Dutch person who does not speak very good to excellent English and/or German. ![]() http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |
