Malta 2007 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 HT Java Black
A whole different machine
Had a remap done by Pete, almost a week ago now. It's a whole different machine!

With the new remap, along the newly fitted intercooler, decat, straight middle pipe, egr blanked and some dirty airbox modification I feel like I'm the king of the road Smile And actually it's a very pleasant feeling you know!

I live in Malta, so I had to use the BAS 2 RRC from Pete, ooo what a guy, ooo what a service! I had a few questions and he answered in a few minutes sometimes not even a whole minute passed Smile He was very helpful and I personally recommend the guy.

Now, the remap! HOLY CRAP! The 2.4 now is very responsive, a bit of a pedal and there you are! Prior BAS remap I used to downshift a gear when I find myself in a hill, and to be honest it bugged me a little bit. But now, the story is different. Keeping the same gear 4th, 5th or even 6th in some cases and it eats its way to the top!

Another issue was the gear change, particularly from 1st to 2nd. It was so difficult to get a perfect gear change. There again, with the remap all that s*** is something of the past, along with juddering on 2nd!

The best part is the 'All hell breaks loose' feature, embedded in the remap. This feature is activated when you press hard your gas pedal down. The noise tone is superb it feels really nice and loud, as it should be in my opinion Smile

If you have not yet done it, I think this is a must!

Did you replace the middle silencer with a straight pipe? Any noise from that? --

I love the tune on my 110. Should go a bit better as well now due to the extra mods.

I always tell my insurance on any mods,

I brabus 'box' I had on my last Merc claimed around 50bhp and 80lbs torque it was approx. £50 extra a year to declare it.

Simply not worth hiding it in my view.

Mine is chipped +30BHP. Always declared on my insurance along with all mods as none declaration will invalidate the policy. Any farther South and I'll need to trade the Defender in for a Landing Craft Smile

Always declare my mods, hasn't added anything to the premium.

Cheers
