Thanks so much for the feedback.
Cheers Paul Iggle, for the offer, we may need your help!

I need to kick some dates around next, though I don't have many full weekends left in the year myself, so bear with me and I'll
Come up with some options.
If it's a case of two separate weekends, to give everybody an opportunity I'm happy to do it. It'll be double the fun, so all's good.

I went to check Roych Clough at the weekend, the last I heard it was a one way...but it is now closed Sad

So that's Roych Clough, Chapel Gate & Tenterhill now closed for good. All great lanes, though I was lucky enough to drive them many times in the past.

Another lane that is currently under threat is up the valley from Monsal Head, so I will keep my eye on this one too.

What these councils don't realise is, the more lanes they close, the more traffic the other lanes will have.

But I now have enough lanes for a great weekend in the Peaks, as well as a very friendly cafe owner who would be happy to accommodate a group of us.

Yes, a lot of the good lanes are closing. The Peak District National Park have a list (around 60) of lanes they want to close.

I'm going out in a few weeks to film some of the lanes, will be interesting to see what is left...😂

Cheers

I agree, to many lanes closing especially in the peaks.
There used to be some cracking ones.
It's really frustrating that the councils have the right to close these roads, as this is what they originally were.
You don't see them closing footpaths from overuse do you. Yes I do a little walking to.
Anyway I'll look forward to this event & maybe even make a recce day.
I do have a fair few of the Peaks lanes already on my MM.

Sounds like a great idea Greeni,

I always struggle with getting out and about, also the right way of finding lanes etc and checking.

I'd be up for some trips out and fun/learning
