Slightly tongue in cheek but the urge is still there. Advice greatly appreciated.
Recently got Netflix and stumbled across an old series called Sons of Anarchy. I now find myself with an uncontrollable urge (especially as the Triumph Daytona has gone) to rush out and buy perhaps a Harley Davidson a leather jacket and start calling SWMBO 'My Ol' Lady. http://www.southamptonharley-davidson.co.u...eAybflVikp Well she's having none of it but I am still convinced the idea may be a good one and that I can sell it to her. Off to Southampton to look at some bikes. Help and advice needed! A KTM is my fallback plan. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Buying a Harley isn't a midlife crisis, its just a mistake, simples
Purely my own opinion naturally, Plenty of real bikes out there to choose from. Gary 3 Landrovers |

Such as? A comment such as this is of no use to me in my time of need whatsoever! Enlighten me please! A little more background....My days of leaning with my chest on the tank reaching forwards for the bars are over. I need more of a sit up and beg or a Parker Knoll Recliner on wheels stance. Something eye catching and it needn't be too quick off the mark. I'm after comfort, less strain on the torso and enjoyment rather than a licence loser. BMWs are off my list as they are so well engineered they are a little to staid. Steve you may be on to something. Thank you. Now the Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle has captivated my interest especially as it's under £8k! May need to go to Winchester as well as Southampton. Got a few bikes myself (moderns and 90's classic sportsbikes)...never owned a Harley...I've never fancied one...but have at least had first hand experience and so I never will. If I had to go the cruiser route, it would be Ducati Diavel or Yamaha V-Max - I own neither but have ridden both and really enjoyed then
I'm a huge fan of SoA, but its a TV programme based on 1%'s Motorcycle Club world...a word of advice is don't try to copy the dress code, especially the top & bottom rockers on a leather 'cut'...the real patch clubs are very protective of the status they carry and you don't want to find yourself on the bad side of them. |
