I have fitted OE regulator with genuine gasket- had problems with TWO supposedly OEM gaskets not seating correctly. Seems ok.

Given the patchy quality of OE equivalents and the warranty returns I have seen, then I wouldn't bother looking at buying the FPR unless it is a genuine item.

I'd get genuine. I did for mine after receiving an OE which just wasn't up to par.
I'd now however get a rebuild kit. Good few people have had great success with the kits. IIRC they're about £40-50, unlike the FPR which is £150 odd I think for Genuine. Shuckers LR often have deals on FPR. I got my genuine from the cheapest spares place I could, then a few days later found it for a tenner less on Shuckers parts site. |
