Td5 fuel pressure regulator (block) OE or Original LR advice
Hello all
The time has come where I have to replace my fuel pressure regulator or fuel block
I originally thought that I should only use Original LR but when I phoned the garage today they suggest OE
Just wondered wether to stick with my original thought of genuine LR or go for the cheaper OE
Has anybody had an OE fitted and if so any troubles
Advice needed
Thanks

I have fitted OE regulator with genuine gasket- had problems with TWO supposedly OEM gaskets not seating correctly. Seems ok.

Given the patchy quality of OE equivalents and the warranty returns I have seen, then I wouldn't bother looking at buying the FPR unless it is a genuine item.

I'd get genuine. I did for mine after receiving an OE which just wasn't up to par.

I'd now however get a rebuild kit. Good few people have had great success with the kits. IIRC they're about £40-50, unlike the FPR which is £150 odd I think for Genuine.

Shuckers LR often have deals on FPR. I got my genuine from the cheapest spares place I could, then a few days later found it for a tenner less on Shuckers parts site.
