They should be seated all the way home to make the gap as small as possible. Had issues myself with this.

Essentially your saying they want to be all the way home?- ie the 'collar' on the top should sit flush with the top of the hub carrier rather than the 1-2mm gap I can currently see We gave them a fair tap with a hammer and a suitable implement to knock them down- still seems to be a small gap- I will try and get a photo of it later, bit worried about causing damage if I tap them harder! The sensor needs to be in all the way into the hub. Did you also replace the bush?
There can be a couple of other causes for the warning lights after replacing CV joints: Replaced with non ABS CV joints, (no notches cut into CV face) Excessive end float Issue with old to new harness connection |

CVs were definitely the ABS ones
We didn't replace the bushes- we did replace the seals though- are the bushes likely to be the root of the issue? Thanks Chris |
