^^^^ That could not be more true!

I fit a lot of parts that are sold under the OEM label.
Some of the quality is utter rubbish, like you say car manufacturers were using that specific brand years ago, and the part manufacturer still uses the title.

Wrong in my eyes! 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered.

I now only fit Land Rover pads. I fitted six different brands and they all squealed in brand new callipers with new discs. They do cost, but have a good lasting life. I get mine from Dan @ Duckworths who will look after you price wise.

Since we're on the topic of brake pads, I was told that there is a difference between brake pads for non-ABS and ABS units?

Bearing in mind Land Rover don't make the brake pads surely it's just a case of identifying who does? Defender 300 ti pads are made by Ferodo so you can pay the premium price to remove them from a Land Rover box or a lot less to remove them from a Ferodo box but they are exactly the same....

I wasn't aware of that, and I fit a load [Never actually compared though] Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

Thanks for the reply Dave-H, it was mentioned in conversation so I thought I'd confirm.

Recently ordered Bosch rear brake pads from France. At €32,00 delivered to my doorstep. Took me 20 minutes to change them on the driveway.
They do fine. No squeaks, no rattles.
Imagine the total costs including fuel if I had to order from my dealer. They are not around the corner. Or if I even let them install those pads for me! 😁
