Headlights
Gents
So one of the Defenders headlights has gone off to the promised land and the bezels are looking like they came off the Titanic, so it's time for a upgrade methinks but as I only use her for moving dogs and camping kit about Im not sure I want to bladder the national debt of Peru on a pair of LED headlights....so what are my options gents ?
Cheers

To summarise, Wipac crystals and decent bulbs are what you need, get some stainless bezels off eBay and jobs a good 'un

LEDS would be Ł380+++ if you were to consider, probably trucklite the cheapest Cheers, David

+1

It's much easier to pull up an existing post and add your query, check for an update and keep all the various comments together to read. It helps others who then look or post later as well.

When there's 10s of different threads on the same subject, it makes wading through them that much harder.

Some good info on lights in this thread, thanks for asking, I'll certainly look out for Crystals now

I was a bit nervous of adding to others threads after seeing this... http://www.defender2.net/forum/post410723.html#410723 But hey ho, we know now don't we.

Customer Relations forum - has a very specific function of being able to ask JLR a direct question, it just seems rude to me when someone has asked a question to start asking others questions of the JLR rep when the original one still remains to be answered.

A little like walking into a room and interrupting two people talking just because you have something to say. I hope that explains it for you. Rolling Eyes

but then you knew that already having been happy to use the facility yourself but apparently it should work differently for others.

There's lots of useful info on here, you just need to be patient and use the search function so don't be nervous Thumbs Up

Hey, not been here long, it's all good, it's just you stuck out as different with your apparent rudeness (I thought you knew the fella on the JLR thread, but apparently that was the look you were going for) and double standards made me realise it takes all sorts.

While at times I agree with the use the search function response at other times I don't.
If everyone just used the search function then the new post count and discussions would be lower.
Then of course if someone does search an old thread and posts a query on it you get all the jeez this is an old thread comments.
Also you have to realise not everyone is a forum expert and searching and wading through old threads depending on what you are searching for can be difficult.
Consider as well that a search for products/advice/techniques may return results for outdated technology or products that have since been updated, fashions change etc.

basically what i'm saying is chill out and relax when newbies or occasional forum posters ask what the experts/always on the forum night and day folks consider to be a boring and often asked question. Everyone has to start somewhere.

Flying,..You make a very good point.
If a person is familiar with the Forum, how to search, where to look etc etc, then ALL the info a Defender owner would ever need is on here, NO DOUBT.
But, if ya're not familiar with terms, brands, forum areas etc etc, sometimes, in the face of a brand new, & super expansive forum, it is much simpler & easier, for newbies like me, to simply ask the question.
I can understand how members that've been around forever & know the Defender "World" backwards, would say to "Search", but believe me, when ya're "new", it's good just to be able to ask a few questions.
Pickles.
