OK, fair enough, there are clearly some circumstances when it's a benefit, no size fits all I guess.
Who cares anyway, they're cheap enough that if you try and don't like them it's no big deal. Already got a buyer for my one! Happy driving to all. 2.2 90 XS 88" Series One Old Norton

It's a shame they are not ideal, possibly if they were adjustable, but think that would massively increase price so no one would buy.

I must be 'less sensitive' to the cold than you blokes....... I fitted mine a few months ago. Can't say I've noticed any less heat on short journeys [Which most of mine are]
Only difference i notice is warm feet rather than warm calf  Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant. |

I fitted one as well, took about 10 minutes. Finally a mod that even I couldn't balls up.
 
So far so good, Mrs. Eutek likes it as well. |

How about routing warm air to the second row seats.
I'm looking for any ideas, samples but it's hard to find. |

Test done this morning.
Thick frost (-4), dusting of snow, and me not wearing much, and alteration has improved heat distribution. Nice that it's simple. Ten mins and tank cutter, easy job.

I have the heat deflector fitted and it works an absolute treat. The warm leg syndrome was a pain and reminded me of the heating on a an old VW my Dad used to own. IMO Land Rover should spec the deflector as standard fitment

I have one of these fitted but as soon as I can will be doing a mod like LandyAndy's done.
Before fitting the deflector I found that the handbrake & left leg area was disproportionately hot, but now it's gone a bit too fat the other way - left leg is now chilly compared to right. I hope with a little trim to get a balance between the two. It does seem to take longer to get warmth in the footwell from cold with the deflector fitted, but it is a much more even heat when it comes. |

I used 2 pieces of black plastic convoluted tubing, shoved it in the foot vent outlets, secured it down the side of the cubby box and angled it down towards the 2nd row footwell. Biggest complaint I had from 2nd row passengers was that although they were warm their feet were not. After a little experimenting I found having the direction on screen + feet and with my tubes, although early days, it's looking like it's working. Obviously I don't have the heat deflector though! However I find that because some of the opening is reduced by the tube my leg doesn't get so warm yet my feet are still ok.
