You can use nut and bolt instead of using the plates have just cut and fitted one today chap

A question on this rather than starting a new thread.
How easy is it to remove the bulkhead? What advantages/disadvantages does it have? |

I have removed mine,myself.
Not too difficult,if you are OK with a grinder. You need to strip out the seats & carpets,cover all remaining glass,to protect it from sparks.Take the rear side panels off,(2 people needed to lift them off.) You dont need to remove the roof,I just jacked it up from the rear. Then just cut out the bulkhead,and grind back,paint the raw edge,et voila. Click image to enlarge |

I've done this on mine too, pretty easy for anyone who's handy with a grinder, you'll have to be handy with a hoover for the mess at the end too! Click the link in my signature, there's a paragraph or two in there from when I did it. Tom
