I am using ACF-50 to spray the cilinder area of my door hinges as there has been some rust forming from the inside. Two questions about this product.
In the ACF-50 link provided by jimbob I read that an annual application would be sufficient. Sounds long to me, presume better to repeat more frequently?
And somewhere in the motorcycle application section it says that it is not damaging paint. I try to wipe away any rundowns quickly, but is it correct that if I miss some, this product is indeed entirely harmless to paint?

I apply every couple of months... Hoping to build up some layers.

If you leave it on your paint work it seems to leave an oily mark, which is very much reduced when next washed
When you have applied it to the rear cross member and front bumper it has a strange tacky feel when you wipe over it with your sponge or wash mitt.

Once you know the areas in which it's needed, you can do the whole car in maybe 20mins

I tend to use a small artists paintbrush to apply to bolt heads, rear cappings, and around hinges. A rag is perfect for bigger areas.

I think corrosion block is better in some places , bit thicker , lasts longer and is made by the same people , but harder to get

you can get a corrosion block grease as well , good for re fitting bolts with I bit on the threads , grease is easy to get on fleabay etc

I've used it for years on my bikes and cars. It doesn't replace regular maintenance but it does what it says on the tin. It's best applied in mist form using a spray gun which I don't have so I use an Autoglym sprayer which you can pump up and sit it in boiling water for a few minutes to thin it out a bit. Just keep clear of the brake discs and glass.

I only use acf50 on fasteners and external areas like the bumper and cross member... All of which don't require a spray gun

Underneath and all cavities are coated with dinitrol.

I had my 110 Dinitroled by Zagato a few weeks back and I have been using ACF50 as directed in his corrosion prevention guide.

I tend use it after every third or fourth wash in the areas where I had corrosion problems in my previous Td5.
Doesn't mark the paint but as Adamatdraycott says it has an unusual tacky feel to it.
