[For Sale] 2005 Defender 90 Td5 Hard Top
Afternoon all!
Now I have changed to a 110 DCPU, my much loved 2005 Land Rover Defender 90 Td5 Hard Top is now for sale. It's in Caledonian Blue, a big specification and currently on 82,094 miles.

I have owned this Defender from nearly new, having had only one previous owner before myself who owned the vehicle for a short period of time. The vehicle has a full service history from new, having been serviced at a LR main dealer and local independent LR specialists. Thousands have been spent on this vehicle, and some excellent upgrades have been made to improve drivability and off road ability.
The specification includes:
1.2 Transfer Box ratios, improving fuel economy and more civilised.
JE Engineering Stage 2 remap (195bhp).
Full size intercooler, with silicon boost hoses.
EGR removal (EGR valve included with vehicle if required).
Full straight through exhaust - great sound! (Catalytic converter included for MoTs if required).
K&N panel air filter.
QT Services Marsh Bars internal roll over bar (mounted to chassis).
Bulkhead removal for seat space in front.
All round standard height heavy duty springs, progressive rear.

This vehicle previously had a full mohair tilt, thus still has the fixings along the rear tub, so can be easily converted back if so desired (no hood/sticks with the vehicle). The internal roll bar provides safety and also solves the seat belt mounting point problem.
There is some minor bodywork damage on the vehicle. Both rear quatres are slightly dented, there is a small but long dent along the passenger side door and tub, and a couple of small dents on the front corners of both wings. There are also some scratches here and there, however it is still very presentable. It has been religiously washed inside, outside and underneath, and often a few times a week during the depths of winter to keep the salt at bay. Therefore the vehicle is extremely solid, and the chassis has no rust. There is no underseal on the vehicle thus the chassis can be inspected thoroughly, but this could be added later to further preserve the condition.
The vehicle is mechanically sound, and has been very reliable and not had any major issues to speak of. Serviced every year, and will provide many years of good service. The tuning work has not caused any issues, and makes it a very fast Defender which can surprise a lot of other cars. Driven in normal conditions, the vehicle can return over 30mpg. I have even had 35mpg out of it when run on V-Power on my commute to work!
This vehicle would make an ideal conversion to off road racer, trialler or competition truck, or even just to be used as is for every day purposes. All paperwork is present including past MoTs and receipts, it is MoTd until January 2015 and there are two sets of keys.
