I have the Terrifirma, I find the fit isn't great, unless it's just me!
Fits but a bit out. Neutral

well mine arrived a couple of days ago, so I took the original silencer off to find that the replacement one has its mounting brackets in the wrong positions the front 1 hitting the transfer box and the rear one welded 1.5 inches too far forward.

I will be contacting the supplier for a return and refund, but expect that will be postage at my cost.

Based on my experience and the above from custom90steve I would avoid this make of replacement pipe unless you have the patience to cut off the mounting brackets and the equipment to re-weld them on in the correct places.

I have now refitted the original silencer and will be looking elsewhere.

Oh dear, as I mentioned mine fits but not well!
The locations you mention are only just clear on mine, one day I'll get shot too. Does anyone know what centre killer has?
Terrifirma are rubbish and although I have one myself I wouldn't recommend either.

Whilst there are several stainless steel exhaust manufacturers and suppliers readily available to sell you their wares, each professing perhaps to be the best, have you considered just replacing the whole kit and kaboodle? I did and I got rid of the rear silencer the centre 'offset' one was replaced with a cylindrical straight through one. It needn't cost as much as you may expect and it comes with a lifetime warranty. Shop around you can also fit them yourself easy enough on your drive without jacking.

There is a lot more options available now too, and AFAIK since the intro of the 2.2 the prices are going down a touch.

Thanks Mal / Steve

I have had a look on the net and do fancy the Alive stainless exhaust from the front pipe back, however I have just took on a big mortgage and the Mrs would not be too happy with me spending £500 we have not got.

If anyone can recommend an affordable alternative I will look into that would be great.

I'm a bit Censored with Allmakes Terrafirma as this is the second thing I have purchased that does not fit, and there is no excuse for such shoddyness. The first was corner protectors that were welded up off square and hit the rear panels, I ended up returning them to the suppliers as well. Everything else I have ever purchases for the Landy has fortunately fitted well. DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

If you just wanted a mid section I'm sure Gary at Alive or IRB could sort you out with a phone call. At least for now anyway. Thumbs Up

If they'll fit. The OEM centrebox has triangular flange at one end with three studs, a round one at the other with two. From pictures depicted on the Alive Boutique theirs doesn't but the flanges do indeed appear to be there. They may be able to make one but I suspect (but may be wrong) it's all or nothing with regards to the remainder of the exhaust system whoever you go with. You'll need to find out if the centrebox section is the same length as an OEM one and if you can just swap out that single section.
The studs could of course be replaced with bolts and you may be able to 'adapt' and engineer it to fit! Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
