Roof rack spot lights.
Hello,

I need your help, I am thinking of getting the expedition roof rack and was wondering what ladder is compatanle with my fixed lamps in the rear ?

I think I need STC50417 which already comes with ladder and the fixed tails combined perhaps.

How do I mount spot "pencil" lights on the roof rack, would like to get 4 lights over there.

Since I have A 2nd aux switch (for front nudge bar spot lights)is there a 3 aux switch button oem style?

Can the car battery handle nudge bar lights and 4 lights on roof rack?

What is best wiring ?

Thank you.

What lights would you recommend up top, I am not liking LED Light bars but want 4 round lights 2016 Defender 90 Adventure Edition

You need this thread: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic11570.html

I believe YUG000540LNF is the part # for the aux light switch (just use the same switch, but put it in another blanked place in the dash)

Most people start with their own wiring (as per the thread above), but I started with the Land Rover kit (LR006815 includes lights, STC53208 is harness only IIRC), but that was for front bumper spots (which you already have). This kit comes with switch, relays, wiring, instructions etc. Sometimes you are lucky and find them on ebay at a great price...

I want the roof lights separate button to the nudge bar lights, is it possible to combine 4 lights on the roof in one button ?

I think I should stick with the oem light wiring available from land rover with the warn lights ? 2016 Defender 90 Adventure Edition

Could I use STC5320 "Genuine LandRover Wiring" for the roof lights ?

What pattern should I have for roof lights ? Pencil or Wide angle ?

for wiring, you can use a genuine LR switch linked before in this thread for one set, and have the other set fed straight from the high beam...

there are specific kits on ebay for:

2 lights on the front : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A-Bar-Spot-light...35c1c891ff

and 4 on the roof : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-Roof-Spot-ligh...5aeac95dbd

or you could probably manage yourself..

I have the first kit powering my front LED lights and it works well. Cheers, David

I just bought the ebay link for the 4 lights wiring thank you, I am going to use LR AUX 2 switch.

Now how do I mount them on the roof rack, I heard there wasn't any holes on the roof rack for the lights. 2016 Defender 90 Adventure Edition

If its a land rover rack there should be 4 mountings on the front Thumbs Up
if not get 4 flat plates with holes welded on

Just ordered the Roof Rack, expedition rack as its mentioned.

ETA 25 days till I get it, unfortunately its a quiet large thing to ship and would be costly and thats why its more affordable to get it from the stealership(dealership) which costs 1,265.25 GBP sans installation after discount. 2016 Defender 90 Adventure Edition
