My Sankey
This is my Mk3 wide track sankey
There seems to be a few sankey build threads popping up and I thought I'd share mine
I'm not doing anything special I'm just after a nice trailer for general use, camping, tip runs etc
So I picked this one up a little while ago, it's very straight and clean and the chassis has had the benefit of a rebuild a few year ago and it just needs a little tidying

Last weekend I whipped the tub off so I could get to the chassis for a lick of paint

This weekend I managed to give it a clean and paint, fortunately it's had a very professional re wire and when it had its rebuild it was sandblasted back to metal so it just needed a sand and a coat of paint

Nice trailer, paint the tub green (same as the 90) then all it needs is a white roof?! Mark S

Nice project. May I ask where you bought the Sankey from? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

Thanks, I coated the chassis in hammerite, I think I'm going to do the tub in green, as for the wheels I'm on the look out for a pair of wolfs to match my 90 Thumbs Up

Now it's painted I'd Dinitrol or waxoyl it to finish off a good job, keep rust away....
Unless it's Galvanized of course. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Good idea although it's 1978/79 and the underseal has done a good job to date.

Sorry jacking the thread Kirk.

Cheers Kirk, set of silver mods should finish her off. Would've loved a wide track but this was affordable including paint reflectors etc.
