2013 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Santorini Black

Puma - mounting of additional (carling?) switches

Guys - what would be the best way to mount a few additional switched for roof lights, rear work lights, auxiliary power etc?

I've looked at a few consoles - mud and nakatenaga.

Is there another way of easily mounting Carling switches? I thought there was a pod for the side of the dash trim for the TD5, does this not exist for the Puma?

I really don't want to cut into the dash if possible, rather use and additional mount/pod/console

Recommendations?

FCX is a bit much for me - the Mud 3 switch and cup holder thingy looks good!

Can recommend the mud puma pod.

If you're clever you can not cut the dash top, but I did.

I cut in the coin tray bit and made sure the hole was the exact size of mud's USB socket, so if I remove the puma pod then I can leave a USB socket fitted in the place of the hole. Cheers, David

I'm also looking at the mud roof console as an option.

^ this is what I did, I found it handy that I could get a couple of switches and also have room for a 12v and USB. As I said if I ever remove the pod, I will use the 12v/USB to plug the hole.

You have to drill 4 screw holes to mount but you can get away with 2 or maybe even silicone etc - the thing isn't heavy at all!

But tbh the kit comes with 4 plastic rivets which I will use to block the holes if I remove it, and they seem pretty tidy. Cheers, David

That looks great, hmm much much cheaper than the Nakatenga option.

Is the front face metal or plastic? What is the overall quality like?

its fairly good, plastic all over.

pretty thin (not quite flimsy, but somewhere approaching) and the plastic is similar to the plastic used in the defender (scratchy and plastic) but it doesn't matter.

tbh its good its thin as it allows you to cut whatever holes etc you like in it easily, wouldn't want it much thicker. its perfectly sturdy enough to hold whatever you fit.

does the job well and looks almost factory fit, i like it
