I have a full length Hannibal rack on my 110. I recently removed the 3/4 cage/sides from mine.
I wouldn't be without the rack now, so useful, looks great I think and only knocks 1 - 2 mpg off or so. Definatly worth getting! Strong people are harder to kill and generally more useful! |

i THINK IT WAS A FRONT rUNNER VIDEO i SAW RECENTLY WERE IT WAS FITTED TO A jEEP AND THEY LIFTED THE WHOLE VEHICLE OFF THE GROUND BY SLINGING TO THE RACK.
dIDN'T SEE CLOSE UPS OF HOW THE RACK WAS ATTACHED TO THE VEHICLE BUT QUITE IMPRESSIVE. Oops |

Having had both a patriot and a Hannibal I feel the Hannibal has the edge as it has slots all over the rack to take bolts which makes it so much easier to bolt on cradles for stuff and accessories. The patriot seemed a lot stronger however so if you are planning on putting silly amounts of weight up there go for the patriot. Another plus of the patriot is it will unbolt so you can store it. The Hannibal is welded into one piece, apart from the legs and cage. Personally I find the cages a waste of time, my Hannibal one is stuffed in the rafters of my garage....I have no intentions of putting it back on. Another plus for the patriot is wind noise. It seemed a little quoter than the Hannibal although it could have been because it was on my 300 tdi so it's noises were masked by cabin noise, as opposed to my Hannibal, that is on a nice, quiet td5.
I know I have listed more positives for the patriot, but the channels on the Hannibal for the bolts tips the balance for me |

Patriot here,,
Had it for 8 years or so now, been swapped from one vehicle to another,, bar for the alloy faded, all good, when the time comes, would buy another without question,, Plus a fair bit of weight,, (yes i know, over the LR stated limit ) Taken 6 years ago Click image to enlarge I would imagine they would be expensive by the time they get to Oz ?? You're missing a leg off that roof rack.
Or maybe even a couple of legs looking at the spacing further forward. |

Give that man a star
but,, I originally bought it for a 110 DC,, and when the picture was taken in 2007, the new puma had just arrived, and was needed for a job, so had to be make to fit, with some extra bracing at the rear !! Soon sorted by some new cross bars California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1 Main Brian James Trailer Dealer for South West UK |
