Truck Cab to SW Conversion on my 90!
Recently did a conversion on my 90 300tdi. Truck Cab to SW, took me about 12 weeks or so but decided to do a lot of work to the chassis at the same time. This week saw a bit of a makeover on the bonnet as there was a fair bit of rust on the underside.

The link is to the conversion and before & after photos on the bonnet. Hope it makes interesting reading.

Next week is new radiator and hoses.

Having finished my conversion from truck cab I've now gave it a coat of paint to freshen it up. I've also painted the chequer plate black. Really pleased with the outcome. Just got the spats to clean up and fit.

Surprising how much different a Defender looks with and without wheel arches. Looks so much better with.
Nice project. And a decent turn around time. Was this your sole job in that period or just evening and weekends? 110 D250 SE HT

Cheers chaps,

The project was just evenings & weekends as you say. I work full time thought it was never ending at times. Missed out on a load of fun over the summer.

Window noise isn't too bad but I do need the draught excluder part if anyone has one spare, or if anyone has any ideas!

I would suggest swapping sides with the windows before getting the draught excluders Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Must have bought them like that, never really paid much attention. There aren't too bad to be honest I might look to changing them sometime! Thumbs Up 2007 Defender Puma Tonga Green
