Rook rack is perfect condition but the wheel carrier is missing the hydraulic strut.

It's the one that Sonic3d has made.

It's a gas strut which would not be hard to find. Andy.

Replacement gas struts are available online from Struts Direct (which is where the originals were sourced). The Sonic3d carrier is probably the best and strongest carrier, and one of very few designs suitable for use with a tailgate. Highly sought after, and a good price!

If I didn't already have one I would snap that up in a flash.

I have the Sonic3d on my 110 granted its the first wheel carrier I have ever had, and that said it is an impressive piece of kit, very sturdy. Adventure isn't paved!

Andy - the swingaway - could you take a close-up of the mounting onto the crossmember please? ...and indeed some more general pics of how it works etc?

Does it need holes drilled or does it use the ones predrilled?

If it would work with my bumperettes I would be keen. Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

Roof Rack now sold...........thanks.

Wheel Carrier will not go with Bumperettes.

It is a fantastic bit of kit as most know and a massive saving at that price. Andy.

No drilling is needed with a Sonic3d carrier, it uses exisiting holes. It also attached 100% to the rear corssmember and has not fittings on the bodywork. Note that it isn't a good choice for a SW since it is not possible to open the rear door from the inside, so any passengers in the rearmost seats couldn't get out without assistance and I don't think this is legal. If you don't have the rear seats fitted, or have a USW, DC, HT etc then there's no problem.

As Andy says it won't fit with bumberettes.

Not a good photo, but it shows the main mount on my DC (note that there is also a support for the Patriot rack in the photo, and also that I am not a member of the "polish it" club!):-

Andy,

Robins just called me.

Will you be able to box this or bubble wrap it?

If so can you advise rough dimensions so I can quote the chap.

Cheers.
