Most Briggs engines are now made in china Big Cry so not as good as they used to be. Would have always recommended a Hayter with Briggs, until the change.

can't comment on the B&S being made in Chine now but bearing in mind my dad still uses his hayter (green godess) from c35 years back in preference to a more recent hayter harrier he picked up at the right price. also I've got a hayter harrier and my mate and we're all v happy

Do they still make Hayters? Awesome machines - used them day in - day out doing council house gardens (more like wilderness) for Essex Council. Go through anything Thumbs Up Tell someone you love them today because life is short.

Yes they do Matt. I used to work there, not far from me.

Very old fashioned place when I was there, but things have moved on a bit since.

Try and get mower with the good old fashioned revolving cylinder blade. Not the modern single blade ones. The more revolving cylinder blades you have, try and get one with at least two cylinder blades which will give a finer cut and the grass will not need cutting as often.
