England 2009 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 HT Alpine White
hi all
Hello everyone, I have been skulking around a few of the defender forums and have chosen to join this one, looks great on here.

I am picking up my 90 hard top at the end of the week, decided to finally do it so my bmw is going. Looking forward to chatting on here.

I am on the look out for some rubber interior mats, and going to upgrade speakers and install alarm when I pick it up. Also putting a tint on back window.

I suggest that you avoid a very dark tint (limo) on the rear window as it sets up a series of reflections such that you end up seeing the car that is in physically in front of in the rear view mirror! Most disconcerting.

Cheers for advice, I was not going for full limo tint, I had the slightly less dark tint on my bmw and I preferred it much more than limo, so will go for same again.

Killer if you're quick and can get the window tinting side of your venture up and running in the next couple of days....you may be able to pressgang him into it.
Rolling with laughter Thumbs Up

Welcome to the forum.....

Agree with the dark tink, I've got a 95% tint and the reflections can get quite some getting used to.

Reflection details here:

First year of ownership my seat covers and two decent (by my standards) sweatshirts got faded to bu993ry. Also there's the security issue to consider of anything of value to anyone else being on show. Difficult to gauge and describe really. The tints let 'enough' light through and you can see during the day clearly from the inside out.
To put it another way reflections or not I would still go for a 95% tint as it suits my needs and requirements. On a hot day (if we ever get any) the difference inside returning to your vehicle is significant, nothing fades and it's very difficult to see from the outside in what's in your truck. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
