excluding damaging carpets, scratching carpets and I suspect (and thats all it is suspect) elbow dent to wing top the dealer has managed to fail on the following basic items;

not put dash centre console back properly
re-connect main earth underneath
and now unwittingly disconnected the bonnet release or forgotten to reconnect it.......

considering all the warranty work not too bad - but in my books not too good either.

I do have a list Greeni but I've almost lost the will to live let alone right letters. I just hope there's no unpleasant surprises when I open the bonnet.

Confused

to my relief all is well under the bonnet.....but then it is dark Neutral

and found why bonnet wouldn't open... the bonnet cable was hiding behind the carpet with the plastic bit at the end broken.

so it would appear to replace that will be a case of cable out altogether and a new one in cos i don't suppose you can replace just the plastic bit at end that holds it in the release lever assembly

Evil or Very Mad

i really don't trust the idiots to do it so how easy is it to do myself?

Dealers employ morons to work on your vehicle for the extortionate hourly rate they charge.

I had rear door card replaced on my 130 under warranty recently they fitted wrong door card and crushed the wiring going into door. Twisted Evil

They also fitted new rear stub axle and on inspection afterwards I noticed one of the bolts holding on rear caliper was sticking out not even done up. Rolling Eyes

When they re fitted my Black alloys they damaged two of the center caps and touched up with some black paint thinking I would not notice. Sad

Trouble is it needs it's first service next week so lets see what they Censored up this time.

ye ha.

thanks killer. I'm kind of wondering how thats gonna fit. I'll have to go outside and have another look. presumably its a case of pulling the inner cable all the way back into the foot well fitting new plastic bit and then feed it back to the bonnet catch?

perhaps you should bring yours up here for a service..... Twisted Evil

Killer thanks mate but the lever as you show is fine....it the bit of plastic on the end of the cable itself that allows the cable to fix into the lever you have shown. the plastic bit is probably 5 pence worth but I suspects its gona be out with the entire cable / outer cable so it can be replaced and knowing my luck its the whole lot that I need to get rather than just the little plastic bit?
