Would be grateful of some advice from anyone who has tried or knows of chip express.
http://www.chipexpress.com/products/3487/ More Power BEFORE 122 PS 90 kW / 120 bhp 360 Nm 266 lbf/ft AFTER 147 PS 108 kW / 145 bhp 410 Nm 302 lbf/ft MAX 162 PS 119 kW / 160 bhp 472 Nm 348 lbf/ft All chips come pre-set for optimal power and economy so adjustment is not necessary: you can simply plug-in and enjoy! After figures show the power your vehicle will produce on the supplied settings. Max figures show the power your vehicle can produce on a higher setting. Not all vehicles will achieve Max figures when on a higher setting, most standard vehicles will achieve a power between After and Max figures. To fine-tune your system simply remove the rear end of the module where you can make small incremental adjustments above or below the supplied setting using the power selector within, easy to do and fully explained in instructions supplied. |

Thanks Steve,
I have been in touch with both Alive and BAS, both saying they are almost ready. I kind of thought it would be better to have this done by a specialist rather than a plug and play. The convenience of buying something out of a box attracts me to the chip express type but its for the long term so I will take your advice and wait (patiently). I assume Alive and BAS will be similar in terms of the tune they are offering? Regards Tom |

I would love to see the rolling road graphs from chip express!
As if that is in 4th gear, they are making 140Nm over standard which is a huge gain (based on what you actually see on a Rolling Road). Impressive if they can actually make it. The only downside is that there are a number of problems with the standard calibration that will not be removed with the use of the box - and in my opinion you might find a lot of problems are made worse. Thats not 100% true - as I had a parcel from Germany the other day and it is not from CMD It is the second version of the tool I already have. And it's cost me a lot more than some of the normal interface tools. Although this has no real relevance to this thread - not ByteShooter either. Keep trying to guess.
