Always found them to be first rate and used them on several occasions now and will use again. The real test came when I had a faulty product - well thought it was faulty. THey did not give me any grief at all and sent out a replacement immediately. It was only then I realised it was my error and not the product being faulty.

They are spot on and do real customer service.

What are these Mud Tunnel Trays Like?

http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/MUD_Tunnel_Tray.shtml

I was thinking of getting one - just not sure they are that practical i.e stay in place/ hold drinks securely?

Kevin of Mud will be at the Donington Indoor 4x4 show in a couple of weeks time. You could always pop along pick one up, inspect one, have a chat with Kev and make your own mind up.

+1 for MUD. Great customer service when I needed some seat rails quickly. They sent me some 'used' ones for a good discount. When I got them, they looked brand new.

Always look to use them if I can now. Cheers,

I am, on the whole, very pleased with mine:

It stays in place very well as it's a snug fit around the base of the gearstick gaitor. It is necessary to remove it to get at the fuse box though, so I made the electrical connections to the sockets easy to disconnect. The cup holders are quite shallow - ok for cans but not so good for travel mugs. Darren

Wish it was held firmer though.

Steve, I bought one (R380 RHD version) a couple of years ago, complete with a single 12v socket and didn't really get on with it. I would echo LRA's summary of it but I decided that it was a bit OTT for me to store 2 cans of fizzy pop and some pens. I probably had it in the truck for less than an month and it's been in the garage ever since.

I'll list it properly in the for sale section in a minute but you are welcome to first dibs on it as it's your post that reminded me to get off my bum and flog it Thumbs Up Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.

Ive fitted a Mud Tunnel Tray and find it quite good. Its fairly rigid, but it just wedges in place so will move if knocked heavily.

I ordered mine with a couple of 12v sockets but the right hand socket is fouled by the diff lock lever, so not much use. The cup holders are far too shallow and are not suitable for carrying Macdonalds drinks, they topple over. Canned drinks are OK.

They are also useful for storing charging leads for my phone etc as I just chuck them into the tray.

Heres mine..

Heres how the diff lock lever fouls the 12v socket..

That's strange as it's ok on mine (pic above). However, one of the things I learnt recently whilst fitting an X-Eng gear stick lock is that the position of that lever is adjustable. There's a threaded rod on the side of the 'box, accessible under the cubby box/centre seat that can be altered to change its' angle. Darren

Interesting, so if I remove the centre panel between the seats in the seat box will I see it?

Yeah, should be. Take a look at the X-Eng instructions here: http://www.x-eng.co.uk/Instructions/X-DefendR380.pdf Darren
