Yep go for the Devon ones jake will sort you out with a good deal

Gwyn Lewis for me, cheaper, and are turret and relocation cone in one and cheaper.

Wow, I LOVE the Devon ones, they look awesome. But my gut is saying to go for the Gwyn Lewis ones.
I am running Koni adjustables and the GL setup will make adjusting them a breeze, and the way they are made aso means I won't have to remove anything to fit- just the shock top mount and the 4 turret ring nuts so could be much easier- plus I do like his competition spring retainers Cheers for the input chaps.... looks like it is time to start spending some monies Glyn |

Must admit very happy with mine, but normal Gwyn, not pretty, heavily galvanised, and he just writes left and right on them with a big marker pen

Just seen your post. The Gwyn Lewis combined turret and spring dislocation cone is for a + 5 inch shock. Not sure what length of shock you have but these will not work with a +2 shock as you will then reduce your downward travel or snap one of the fittings. A standard height turret works best, which ever make you go for as well as separate cones and heavy duty rings. Dont forget the lower spring retaining brackets. Gwyn Lewis has the best solution here as they allow the spring to stay in the vertical plane whilst the axle is dropping. When you get the cones it is worth looking to see how Gwyn Lewis has profiled the front of his combined turret/ cone and see if you can do the same. The reason is that during articulation the cone rubs the paint off the front of the shock. Gwyn Lewis both profiles his combined cone whilst the turret part sits back about 10 degrees. Adrenaline 4x4 take a different approach by shortening their caster corrected radius arms by 10mm to again stop the shock from rubbing. Rubbing the paint off is not the end of the world but as you are looking it is worth considering making a modification before you put it all together. Another thing to look at is the rear dislocation cone. I have just changed mine from the chassis mounted to the relocation cones that fit to the axle instead. The spring in turn is bolted to the chassis. The advantages are better relocation of the spring without the possibility of the spring missing the cone and hitting the tyre. Also they are quieter in operation. I hope this helps. Good luck Mark |
