i use TF on 3 90s all on the rear. they are a good budget shock. i run them as i am prepared to take the knocks on them from off roading and they are cheap to change and do what i need.
i run OMEs or Kings on the front as they are protected in the springs. for heavy towing on the rear i would prob look for something a bit more up market, price allowing, OME etc. on my 110 i put some adjustable air bags inside the rear springs to firm up the ride and that works for me. is it def shocks that are the issue or springs? Sorry i had mis read your post ref the springs comment.
why not stick with stock and try airbags if your not always running it laden. if its always heavily loaded then go for some HD springs from the likes of OME or Eibach or fit LR HD equivalents? what are you running? 90? i wouldnt bother with changing shocks initially FYI: TF shocks are the same as Procomp ones, manu in same place. Yer it is for a 90, didn't know you could get an air bag conversion. What do they involve and cost. My old mans discovery keeps going wrong, if this makes sence, say you have 3500 kgs behind, of which are cattle, if they all move to the back, the bags re calibrate, then the beast move forward and it goes with a bang and bottoms out, then has to pump up again.
