I removed both dash upper cover pieces to replace them with leather covered ones ordered from Matt, and found that one of the two small blue plastic clips which is supposed to be present at each side of the dash panel is missing. Clearly at assembly of my car they forgot to put this clip, and result is that the screw, whch is present, is turning in air. Who knows what else is missing
Now in order to be able to properly install the leather clad part, these plastic clips are a must. I already went to my local LR main dealer, but the clip is not listed as a separate specific item on their Microcat.... Anybody knows better, so that I can order it? It is really a silly little thing, but I need it. Below is a picture. Tks in advance, Eric Click image to enlarge You never actually own a Defender. Hi Eric,
It's only a fancy spire clip, you should be able to source something that'll do the job from the Swiss equivilant of B & Q |

Tks Matt, that may become the last resort solution then. But still would like to give it a shot to get an original LR version.... Will give it a little time to see if someone here on the forum can help, and in the meantime I also gave a bit of hell to my local dealer who sold me an unfinished car... Their parts department are looking into it now.
By the way, the leather covered part on top of the instrument panel and the grab handle are already installed, and the sales person at the dealer was very impressed with the looks and quality. Asked me where in the UK these parts are produced. Probably will be there sometime next week again, will pass him your biz card. Eric You never actually own a Defender. Why not get a glove box kit, then you don't need them anyway and there is somewhere to store your sweeties.

Bob, received in the post this morning, many thanks Envelope had a nice sticker glued on it by Swiss customs that it could be delivered free from import duties/VAT. So they checked the content as usual but guess value was well below their threshold So, the last one of the three leather covered dashboard parts from "Go Beyond" has been properly installed now. Looks all great I think, no overkill with the black stitching. Mr. Go Beyond, Matt, here are some pictures. Can also send those by e-mail to you if you like.
