Well I didn't actually do anything, Killer90 fitted my DLR Bumper and new Momo Nero steering wheel, so all I did was drive to him and back. He's a top bloke and his family are brilliant, had my dog with and they looked after us really well. Thanks Killer90 and your family. Thumbs Up _______________________________

I've had a a few days off this week for some serious Land Rover fettling. I've managed to replace the grill and headlight panels with black ones, replace the speakers, install a fuse box and wire up switches and sockets in my Mud Tray, paint and re-install my fire extinguisher bracket, install a delayed rear wash wipe and fabricate and paint the final parts of my rear bulkhead/dog guard. Just got to cover the latter with carpet and assemble it when the paint has dried.

All in all, a very satisfying week Thumbs Up Darren

It has been a busy few days in the workshop...... I even did some proper work.

On the Land Rover I have been mainly sorting out the rear cross member. I has slight surface rust which could be washed off so just to be safe I gave it a good scrub with a good de-greaser. Turns out that Land Rover don't use UV resistant paint as it was wafer thin in places, and some of the areas after a quick rub with scotch-bright went down to bare metal. So I decided to sort it out properly. Acid etched, epoxy primer and then marine top cote on the top- just needs another 24 hours time to cure before carrying on with the work:

I have also done a complete service on one of the guys Nissan Pathfinder.... nice looking car, powerful engine, 4WD and diff lock..... but then I lifted it up to drain the oil and saw this:

The Diff pan is the lowest part of the vehicle.......VERY bad design!! (You can see the rear cross member of the fender in the background with the lack of paint (this was before attacking with sand paper).

Only this one at the moment of a trial fit. I'll have some more in a few days after the final assembly:

The whole thing has been brought about because I have Exmoor Trim second row seats, which means a standard full height dog guard won't fit. Instead, I've constructed a solid lower bulkhead, which fits to existing mounting points, and fitted a regular hardtop dog guard on top. It's very strong and, because the top can be removed separately, more flexible too. Darren
