reading this thread made me realise just how vulnerable the back corners are so I ordered these ones today. They seem good value ( I aint spending a couple of hundred on 2 bits of metal)

The COR4 items are not just the bumperette but a full NAS conversion kit including the tub plates which also give access to clean the crossmember out (as landrover like to stop you doing that by covering the end up with the panel ) the tube is the thickest i have ever seen and have bounced off a truck (HGV )with them with no damage
just look at cor4,s flicker page , you will never see better welding , everything is tig, not the slap on mig and flat off we have most common over here,

Bumperettes arrived yesterday, I've just gone to fit them and they don't fit as the tub bolts are in the way, am I missing something?

Just spoken to Paddock and they agree that they don't fit vehicles with forward facing rear seats so they are going back for a refund, going to look at the Terrafirma ones now.

paddocks ones
ok padocks bumperettes arrived yesterday and the wife opened them and said you will be sending these back the checker plate all oxidised so a quick call to them and they okd a replacement set to be sent as there normal ones where not sent but an alternatives ones from a different supplyer, they now had a set of original ones they could send......
Having spent the morning fitting a LR A bar and some wipac spots along with a LR RAI which all went on without a hitch
Fed x arrived with replacements and to pic up the other ones
ok opened box to a far better set and then the fun started who put the the holes used for these in a crossmember that you cant reach if your over 6 or with fingers less than 10" long lol
after dropping the washers and nuts at least 3 million times into the cross member
They are now on and look great but what a load of Censored they printed on instructions simple and quick to fit It's good to be back from the dark side

I have the same ones on my 90. Have taken them off before and you're right, they're an absolute b*****d to fit/remove.

My solution was to put a bolt in from behind the crossmember (ie. with the thread sticking out the rear) and then tack weld it to the crossmember in line with the slotted holes in the bumperettes. Effectively giving me four studs each side.

Then you just offer up the bumperettes and pop some washers and nuts on. 5 minute job now, which means they can come off for re-painting the crossmember etc. Smile
