Not quite. We're in the corner between France, Luxembourg, and Germany. The French seem quite incapable of forecasting the temperature, we're offen 3 or 4 degrees below forcast. Jon |

I wonder if the heating in the left hand drive models doesn't work as well?
It seems as though all the "continentals" have a similar problem. Mine never gets too hot (mostly not hot enough). Matt p.s. minus 18 again... Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

I don't think so. I get the full thermonuclear blast after 10 minutes or. It helps to have the ventilation off, or on 1 for the first few minutes, or it takes noticably longer to get warm. When it is so cold, I've noticed that the thermostat is even less linear in its regulation than normal. Turning the heating down one notch you can go from toasty to frosty very quickly. Haven't been out to look at the thermometer yet, and I don't really want to as it looks just too cold outside, probably somewhere around the -11 or -12. Jon |

My V8 warms up beautifully since the rebuild with a new rad and heater matrix which are not clogged up with mud. (Certainly much faster to get up to temp than my uber efficient daily driver C-class.)
But then the icicles from the roof leaks thaw out and the resultant deluge cools me down again Fully Restored 89 110 CSW V8 CLS 350 CDI for the sensible stuff |

Mine is also lhd. and gets warm after 8-10 km - after 20 it gets unpleasantly warm....but I also have the problem that there is nothing between toast or frost.....found that opening the window a bit helps........

Anyone know why with one clicks difference on the heater knob you go from volcanic heat to ice cap freezing with no adjustment in between. I suppose that one "click" just shuts the heat vent off
![]() Also if you switch the air-con off on mine and turn the heat right up nothing comes out unless you put the fan on ![]() ![]() |

Same here - even with my pathetic heating, the heat-control is either on or off
![]() I find windows work well when it's on... I figure with my "no more Defender-spending" ban in place, auxiliary heating would have to wait until next year anyway. I've got my greenhouse heater in there and it's managed to raise the temperature to a toasty -7C at the front ![]() Off to walk the dog now, if I can drag her from the warmth...
