The plastic sleeve that the locking button slides up and down is clipped to the door and holds the card to the frame. Unclip it and fiddle it off the button, and the card will lift off the button.

Just to add that both rear doors had the lock system wires cutted.
Finally I do the work by myself and now all locks are working perfect.

Easy work for half day when you understand how to take out the window handle Mr. Green

Finally ogt round to removing the door card and found a bodged repair to the door locking knob which may explain why it broke in half!

Not had any joy in fixing the central locking issue to the rear door on the driver's side though - sometimes the door cannot be opened at all even though I have lubed all of the mechanisms etc.

SO its going into Land Rover tomorrow for diagnosis - warranty runs until June this year however I have been advised that the warranty may not cover the repair once it is diagnosed.........!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone arm me with any useful tips once I am told more than likely that indeed the warranty does not cover the repair!!!!????

cheers
