On most/all rear cross members there's a large hole on the right hand side, what's it for? There wouldn't be a problem with me mounting my towing electrics in it would there?

Common mounting place to prevent damage to socket ... my last 3 have all been moved into there ![]() As to what it's originally for - feck knows ![]() |

yes the best place for towbar electrics. my 90 had it mounted there.

I'm guessing, but was it originally for a power take off shaft to power what ever???
