Interesting feature.
But why would you want to raise or lower the vehicle with the key fob? There must be a good reason, or it wouldn't be in the programming, but l can't see it. |

l've got coil springs on my Defender so it's at the higher level all the time, and l've never had an issue attaching our caravan.
Just raise the 'van or trailer using the jockey wheel and then lower it down on to the tow ball. Once the jockey wheel is off the ground, pull the handle and "CLUNK" the receiver drops on to the tow ball and you know it's attached. |

Is there a way to get it even lower, when parked, without purchasing anything? Eg a secret menu or button press to get an extra low access height? I’ve read the boxes can get you an extra 40-50mm lower.

I'm pretty sure you have the basic lowered 'access height' when parked
and then the 'remote lowering' drops it a little further (same as the controls in the boot of the vehicle). |

It works on models prior to the 2012MY. My old 2011 LR4 (D4) had the same feature. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟏𝟎 𝐒 𝐏𝟑𝟎𝟎 (Pangea Green over Acorn/Lunar)

Having to go into the car to switch on the hazard lights first, makes this feature just about useless. Might as well just open the rear door and use the buttons.
