Arghhhh… 220km the Defender went nearly flawless and now defect after defect….
So, It all started October last with toooo low Fuel Pressure erro (thread in this forum). We replaced the fuel Filter, Fuel Tank Pump, first the valve at the high pressure pump and then the whole ho pump. thereafter it worked again… https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic89972.html Then clutch went and we also replace and the output adapter https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic90742-15.html Then the Turbo Actuator and a series of Error Messages. Could find anything and the replace meant of the actuator worked… https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic91590.html And now back again. Engine cut out, Battery Symbol, Engine, Traction…. All the lights.. and now power. Error Codes acc. to Nanocom: P0336, P2564, P0642, P0531, P0069, U0401… They all say Electrical Could restart and it worked, but again an again after a while the cut out, but most it got working again.. and than the main one. Nothing works… If a try now to start, the engine tries, compressions is there but it is like no fuel (Electric seems all there)…. Arghhhh. Any suggestions… ? I just cant anymore… wtf. Not sure if I could be of any help, but could it be as simple as a bad earth?
When I replaced my gearbox adaptor shaft, right after starting I had a very weird issue that I logged on https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic73565.html I re checked all earths / grounds and reset all the error codes and been good since. Hope you can find the root cause soon. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |

Yeah… I got it running again reved up to 2k fine and then when release the trottle in went out again.
Before that if was shaking the while wire harness and fumbling on top of the gearbox to see if there is somehwere a loose cable… or the like… so the error must be above the Gearbox, maybe an earth as well Problem is no that i have a diesel Heater installed… so getting on top of gearbox will be a lot of mess now … Wonderful afternoon job afternoon work… B PS: Took a load of photos above the area of the Transmission housing… Both earth look rock solid there is nothing to move… |

So… now i gave it another try…. Only wiegeltet at:
The Maine ECM Cable behind the Engine The cables across the Transmission Took a of fotos trying to see a thing bu so far could not figure out /see a thing. Any how, engine did start, let it run in idle for ca 5min, could clear all Faults… pressed gently the gas… no issues, sounded smoothly as always… so, I call it a day for now. will have another run at the photos to see where there could be an / the issue…. Any suggestions for hidden “touching” point causing a fault, earthing issue on thoses “areas” B |
