been doing some research, the 2020 First Edition are the ones to have, as these came with many features and options.
Those features and options were 'deleted' during covid/silicon shortage, or cost you more. I have an early 70 plate and it is NOT a First Edition, but it has options as part of the 'factory build', before LR deleted many options, which became 'cost-plus' on the basis builds. I suspect your write off value would be around £45K (?), how you are going to replace it I don't know ? and it's going to cost you half of that again (?) |

I would be very surprised, it they do not write it off,,
Just had a customers XC90 with similar damage and value, and that's been totalled Start looking at comparable vehicles on offer, for an idea what they should be paying out, compared to your px value California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1 Main Brian James Trailer Dealer for South West UK |

They will definitely write that off - insurers are not interested in complex structural repairs on this value of car

Well, it does prove that the Defender is tough!
As above in my opinion, write off. Keep us informed as to the progress with your insurance. |

The First Editions were big sellers and at the end of the first year’s production they were discontinued to be replaced with the XS that has all the additional toys of the FE but no black roof and with more limited colour options with body coloured wheelarches and sills. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

Yup, most definitely. The “experts” sub-contracted by your insurance company won’t even bother with a repair estimate, the company will write it off and offer you peanuts. You’ll bitch and they’ll then require you to source advertisements, dealer prices etc. for the same model, same year, same mileage. Only then will they revise their offer. As above, start doing your homework now… Peter |

If you have got GAP that takes you back to the original purchase price, then that tree has done you a favour, considering you have a new one coming in Feb. Hope you have the GAP. Proud owner 110 Utility XS
