So the weekends job was to spray my dash, It came out of a working defender and as such was pretty faded and also full of scratches

Since its a dash at some stage in its life it may have seen some son of a gun so it was washed with detergent, scrubbed with a nail brush, cleaned twice with isoprol alcohol and three times with panel wipe.

I tried to get some pictures of all the scratches and marks but they didn't really come out with the camera. I rubbed them down very lightly with some 1200 wet to flatten them but taking care not to remove the dash texture.

Gday Shane,

Did you get this to fit?

I notice that you have deleted the tensioner pulley when you changed sides with the air conditioner. Did you use any spacers on the air con pump? My idler pulley rubs on the air con pulley when I set it up like yours.

Thanks for helping the community out.

Cheers

Thanks - look forward to the new pic.

I’m curious to see where the e90 tensioner is fitted.

I’m fitting an m57 into the puma which had a catastrophic top end failure. Once I sort out the pulley setup and turbo actuator… I’ll be able to hoist the engine into the bay.

Posts like yours have been invaluable.
