I don't know to be honest, I don't have a wiring diagram for the ddci, I was just offering a possible cause and suggesting that sometimes, serious sounding faults can often have a simple cause and remedy. |

I had this a few times, same situation but very intermittent, over course of last few months. Intermediate shaft gave up a few days ago... if you've not had the shaft checked then I'd recommend doing so. |

Hello,
Reviving this old post but this morning I had the exact same problem, Whenever I'd pull away from second gear or first it happens, Took it to a LR specialist and he hooked up a OBD2 scanner and just to look at the live data from the speed sensors of all four wheels, 3 of them showed the same speed from pulling away except one which was stuck on 1, he just tapped the speed sensor a bit and it got fixed! Now when pulling away there isn't any noise and no flashes, hope this helps anyone who has the same problem. 2014 Defender LXV 2023 Defender 90 HSE |

Thanks all
Little spanner and tapped both sensors and no more traction control issues. It's bloody mucky down there. What's best to clean around the swivel pin? Cheers |

Now that you have resolved it for the moment, it’s with checking to make sure the end of the front half shafts/cvs are shimmed correctly, if they are too sloppy you’ll find the issue will return.
