As above. I ran a Safari scoop top for more than 10 years on various vehicles. The fitment height of the top is critical and it is absolutely worth removing the top periodically as the drainage slots can block with debris and insects. The only troubles I ever had were with the scoop facing forwards during heavy snow or rain fall which just overwhelmed the Safari drainage slots. Yes the rain in Wales is that torrential at times. At which point you have to get out in said weather and reverse the direction of the scoop. So keep a screwdriver in the cubby box.

I replaced the safari RAI when I had the roll cage fitted as they are not compatible. Rebuilt the intake system with what was a PandP RAI and made the rest of the inner pipework myself. The top is a generic mushroom cyclonic thing with a gutter and it works brilliantly. Miffy's air filter has never been wet and is barely dusty when checked. You can see it below.

As has been mentioned above, the key is to not trust foam gaskets, a smear of RTV is essential between joints.
