Does anyone have a stock CCF file for a US spec Defender with the premium headlights? Preferably closer to the 2020 model year, but I’ll take anything right now to get these headlamps coded correctly!!

hey there. don't know if anyone ever answered you.

i am in NJ and have been fiddling with the G4 and the different headlight units.

In the US market the Premium LED is actually called Matrix Led AFS123/IHB in the CCF using G4.
These are the units that are labeled as KZ3 04S.

if you have the KZ3 05S variant then you have the "Pixel LED AFS123/IHB...

Hope this helps...

be careful of people selling "Matrix LED" for NAS Spec as they are just KZ3 04S "Premium LED" and not the KZ3 05S "Matrix LED" ...

Good Luck

I've been going mad on this one. I've tried replacing the headlamp ECUs, every coding you can imagine, and am about to tear into these things. I cannot for the life of me figure out what combination would enable the halo functionality of these new lights.

I even spoke to the GAP team and we did a compare between my vehicle and the donor vehicle. Even with exact CCF settings I still cannot get them to go on. I've heard people mention a headlamp ECU flash, but haven't really found anyone that could actually describe that process and how it could be done.

My replacement pair are KZ3 043 Premiums thankfully, but I'm almost certain at this point that I either need to buy JLR Pathfinder + TOPIx to do a headlamp ECU flash, rip into them and replace LED module, or scrap it entirely and go back to my basic lights. Thread below with more details if anyone is interested!

Can anyone with a g4 IID confirm that you can set the three vehicle heights independently? I’d like to lower the access mode without lowering the standard ride height. This is to help my dogs getting in/out the back of the car!

Apologies this is a dupe of a separate post - just wondering if there’s a clear yes/no to using the tool

Sorry to change the topic slightly. I would like to retrofit TPMS. I believe I need to purchase a module that goes into the roof, above the light panel. But before I pull the light panel out, I was wondering if the GAP G4 shows the ECU module. Could somebody please with TPMS, open their Ecu Infos menu and see if it shows the TPMS module? Thanks in advance

For convience the Llams height controller is making that possible with just 2 turns left on the selector knob.

Anyone been able to get the soft volume control to function? All I get is a readout of “0” and no volume control. It will show mute status? Thanks!

I believe that the volume control key will work on only MY24 or above vehicles.
On my friend's MY24 worked, but mine MY23.5 didn't. Crying or Very sad

HI,
here's to you,
the gap recognizes tpms ecu, which will be appropriately configured on the ccf file.
Be careful if you buy a new ecu, you will need pathfinder or topix cloud to load the appropriate software, if you buy used it should work fine, but it will be stored with its donor vin.

Feeling proud of myself that I can potentially make a contribution after all the help I've got from this site.

Driver Assistance is now remembering last setting for me.

Just as a disclaimer I have no real idea what I'm doing with this stuff but it seems to work.

MultiCAN-889 GSR2 EU Market Ft
GSR2 Country

Changed it to Non GSR2 Country.

The regulations which insist on this are called GSR2 and there are a few other related settings.

Sometimes “not supported” doesn’t mean not supported.

@mmbanf, thank you. What other implications would I have having a module with an incorrect VIN number?

HI,
no implications, at least on the European market...
I did the rerofit of the matrix headlights, I have a different vin number on the headlight ecu, no errors, no malfunctions.
there is also a way to write the original vin but you have to make a connection with enet obd, via svs company.
