Had the exact problem , heater stopped working smell of hot oil & loads of mess black sludge oil all over engine . Dealer did same not sure what long term damage has been done . J ![]() |

18,000 m later and a service all well with no issues at all. I think with limp mode and auto shut down these engines are good at looking after themselves!

Afternoon all,
Ah the joys of the transit dura torq engine. ![]() Also change oil and filter in case of cross contamination, it should`ent happen due to oil pressure most of the time being higher than cooling system pressure but better safe than sorry.. Changed loads on transits, ldv convoy. Another gift from the mechanical gods ![]() happy new year. |
